COVID 19-2O MHS Seniors
These two acrylic 24″x 30″ paintings were initiated by Rob Thompson, MHS Language Arts teacher, in January 2019 in an effort to continue to build a sense of community among high school colleagues by bringing their talents and imaginings to canvas. Students in Bobbie Foyś art classes also contributed to the paintings.
In March 2020 when our lives were upended by the pandemic, the unfinished canvases were used by Mrs. Foy as her backdrop during her virtual sessions. Foy completed the paintings by collaging hundreds of Covid Virus ¨flowers¨ to the canvases.
The paintings are titled ¨COVID 19-20 MHS Seniors¨ to honor the class of 2020 during the Covid Virus outbreak
